Ally Bell; creator of WDIBS

WHO IS SHE??? Hello, I am Ally, creator & owner of The Studio by We Did It Boys Studios! I’ve been lucky enough to be immersed in the arts for my entire life, from my public education through college at SUNY New Paltz (go Hawks,) where I received in a BFA in Graphic Design.

My “adult life” consists of a bevy of experience working for small businesses as a graphic designer & administrator, a variety of freelance illustration gigs & local exhibits, and at Unison Arts for 7 years doing multiple roles, the most recent being Director of Operations.

I love the feeling of being together with peers while working our own projects “in the studio” like I did for so many years in high school & college. I had also always fantasized about having my own studio space to fully dedicate my time & energy to creation & experimentation, so here we are!

To that end, I’m inviting other creators to come share this space with me! I’ll be using this space flexibly to accommodate my own art practice as well as renting it out & hosting events according to my whims & in collaboration with others. Feel free to contact me with any ideas!

It’s been a dream of mine to have a unique place for us to create meaning. Especially as thingswe are used to unravel for better or worse around us, how do we want our lives to look together as we recreate amidst the chaos? It’s unlikely a coincidence that now is the time I’ve had to be able to do this.
