We Did It Boys (N.) : An encouraging phrase of camaraderie regarding the success of humor, hijinks & a job well done.

Mission Briefing from owner/operator, Ally Bell:

Who I "Am" and What I "Do"

Hi I’m Ally (she/her), the owner/operator of We Did It Boys Studios and The Studio in New Paltz, NY. I'm a lifelong visual artist and more recently, a DJ/producer. I've exclusively worked for small businesses and have been engaged in creative communities socially, educationally, and professionally since 4ever. I’ve specifically been involved in the New Paltz workforce and art scene since 2013.

I worked in every nook and cranny of a local arts non-profit for 7 years and loved doing the work of engaging and organizing creative community, but I always thought it would be simpler to do as a sole proprietor LLC.

As Head Daddy at We Did It Boys, I make sure the physical and online spaces are functioning smoothly, create all content & promo, handle the boring paperwork, network with community members, and curate presentations and events at The Studio & online.

I’m a social butterfly who loves making connections and thrives on finding win-win solutions for everyone in any given context, so that’s the general VIBE around here. I invested my own money into creating this space & ethos (yeah i said it, okay?) and will continue to network regionally and expand the impact of We Did It Boys.

The Mission

The mission of We Did It Boys is to inspire whimsy, connection, joy, and creativity. It is imperative to strengthen these qualities in humanity, especially when forces around us are attempting to devalue them. Let us stay engaged so we can create a collaborative and equitable future with what we have available to us.

Developing strong intuition and emotional intelligence is of major importance to me. I love making personal connections and getting to know people through mutual benefit and celebration. If you ask me, the world could use a hell of a lot more of that sort of thing right now.

We may not be able to change the unfathomable current global events but we CAN choose to foster our own creative spirit and find ways to meaningfully connect with one another. My vision for this space is to maintain a supportive structure so we can get to business on whatever work (and play) is ours to do individually, together.

Why support We Did It Boys Studios?

Your support of We Did It Boys covers some basic costs of existing for at least one disabled artist (me) who wants to help spread love and joy. Corny but true!!! PLUS, nearly all the money I spend goes directly back into the New Paltz area economy via support of other small businesses & individuals. Your support also keeps the lights on at The Studio, so you are directly helping to sustain and grow this vision in a tangible way. Profit made from any of We Did It Boys business endeavors is also invested directly to mutual aid and environmental causes, especially those related to local water sources in the Hudson Valley.

What's going on at The Studio?

The Studio in New Paltz is designed to foster intimate connections and dedication to creative practices, especially for digital creators who normally work in isolation. I am calling in like-minded folks to create a new faction of the arts community.
Apply for membership & get to enjoy a cozy shared workspace and meet other like minded individuals. The Studio also hosts events open to the public, and I am always open to collaborations and ideas for use of the space, reach out via e-mail anytime!

Looking forward, I’d love to hire Studio Assistants to create jobs for local artists & have the bandwidth to host more free public events.

How to get involved

If you are a creator in the New Paltz area who can get on board with the above mission and shares similar values, I encourage you to apply to be a member and get your hands dirty! (We Did It Boys Studios LLC. is exempt from liability related to sticky jam-covered hands, nor can the stated party become involved in the removal of aforementioned dirt on any extremities of the body.)

If you a fan of the mission, but are not directly involved in the arts or want to support from afar, I warmly invite you to join the We Did It Boys Patreon.
